New CCA Teacher Training Intensive
Registration is still open!
Are you a professional dancer looking for a Ballet training method to get started in your teaching career? Or perhaps you are a teacher searching for a way to improve the level of your students. The Teacher Training Intensive will introduce you to the Cecchetti teaching method, which is a safe and proven Ballet training system with syllabi for dancers aged 6 through the professional level.
The 10 day course includes Primary and Grade I syllabus classes. Theory classes, such as anatomy, music, teaching strategies, child development, class planning and more. Also included in the Intensive is the chance to observe both Cecchetti and guest faculty teaching students. Participants will have guidance in how to set up a syllabus based program or integrate it into your current curriculum. Each participant will be assigned a mentor to help guide you after the course.
At the end of the course there may be an opportunity to take the Grade I teaching exam and become a member teacher with the CCA. For those who don’t take the exam at the end of the course, it can be scheduled for a later date at one of the regional exam sessions.
The Intensive is held at Hope College in the beautiful town of Holland, Michigan. Participants may stay in accommodations on the campus grounds, or choose to stay in one of the area hotels. A meal plan in the college cafeteria is available for purchase, or there are many restaurants and cafes to choose from that are minutes from the campus.
