ELEANORE BROWN, F.C.C.A.

The National Executive Board of Directors of the Cecchetti Council of America is proud to present a brief bio of Eleanore Brown:

Eleanore was graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts. Her Cecchetti coaches were Virgiline Simmons and Enid Ricardeau and she holds her Advanced Teaching Certification through the CCA.

Performing in summer stock and choreographing for community theaters have garnered her the Lenawee Arts Award. Through the CCA, she was awarded the coveted Sylvia Hamer Scholarship to study ballet at the Cecchetti Summer School in England.

She owns and operates her own studio, Dance Center, in Adrian, MI. At Siena Heights University, she has taught ballet classes and choreographed several productions. As well, she has taught dance and choreographed productions for the Siena Heights Children’s Creative Dramatic Program and teaches classes at the CCA International Summer School and Teachers’ Course at Hope College in Holland, Michigan

Eleanore is a member of the National Executive Board of Directors, permanent examiner, and liaison for the Western Michigan Committee. Included among other positions she has held are CCA National Librarian and CCA National Membership Chairman.

She lives in Onsted, Michigan and has one daughter.
